Plastic cap Ø28mm tethered PCO 1881 — compliant with EU SUP Directive 2019/904
The Ø28mm cap with PCO 1881 neck finish is the industrial standard for bottling water and carbonated beverages in PET containers. The current version is tethered — the tamper-evidence ring stays attached to the cap after opening, in line with EU Directive 2019/904 on single-use plastics (SUP), applicable from July 2024.
Produced via compression molding on SACMI CCM line, with 100% inspection via CVS360 video system. Optimized weight (1.95–2.15g) without compromising CO₂ pressure resistance. 3-start thread enables rapid open/close on high-speed bottling lines.
Available in any standard color or custom Pantone/RAL, with embossing and silkscreen options for client brand customization. Single solution for clients shipping to the European market — all Ø28mm caps we produce are now tethered.
